I’ve always been for equality between the genders.  What’s good for the goose is good for the gander and what not.  This comes out even more when I’m playing video games.  Well, I’ve logged in 24+ hours on Persona 3 Portable and I’ve been getting more and more agitated by one thing in-particular: dating.  Now, when you’re playing the male MC, Minato, you have possibly 6 girls that you can date and have a relationship with.  When you play the female MC, Minako, you get 3 maybe 4 interests.  Why is this?  There is one character, Hidetoshi, that does admit his feelings for Minako but the player has no chance or ability to say that you like him in return.

I’m trying to figure out why the hell this difference is there.  Its not like there is a lack of male characters for Minako to date but it obvious that the creators decided to limit it. 😐  Why?  The game is still great, I’m just OCD about balance/equality.

And another thing…..why the hell did they give Shinjiro new art?  Seriously, the guy goes from the gruff, manly look that he was created with but the moment he turns his head to a 3/4 view, he becomes man pretty.  The reason behind that, in my opinion, is to get the female players to like him and want to have Minako chase after him for a relationship.  They even give a chance to change the outcome of his LIFE. WTF?  They let us do that but there is no possibility of entering an even slightly romantic relationship with Junpei. *grumble grumble*

Okay, I’m done.  Time to get back to my writing.
